Micael Kiriakos Delaoglou, better known as Mikkey Dee, is a drummer whose name is synonymous with raw power and boundless energy. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, he has built a career defined by explosive performances and iconic collaborations.
Mikkey Dee first gained international recognition as the drummer for the Danish metal band King Diamond (1985–1988), but it was his joining Motörhead in 1992 that cemented his place in heavy metal history. For over two decades, he was the beating heart of the band, his intense drumming perfectly complementing Motörhead’s signature raw sound. He contributed to 13 albums and toured relentlessly, solidifying his reputation as one of the finest live drummers in the genre.
Following the passing of Lemmy Kilmister and the dissolution of Motörhead in 2015, Mikkey Dee joined the legendary Scorpions in 2016. There, he continues to captivate audiences around the world with his powerful and explosive playing style — proof that his energy behind the kit remains as fierce as ever.
